karen drozda has worked in the architecture and construction industry since 1984 as a construction worker, designer, project manager, architect, and educator.

She received her Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Art from Newcomb College, Tulane University. She has worked with Woo & Williams Architects in Cambridge, Massachusetts and with MBT Associates in San Francisco. She has taught previously at California College of the Arts, and regularly contributes to a website offering tips for people preparing to remodel their homes.

Her keen appreciation for the potential of older properties enables her to update a building to suit contemporary lifestyles while maintaining the character of the original.
